FAQs
What is a Flat Fee Listing Commission?
In Real Estate there is a Listing Side Commission and a Buyer Side Commission. This commission is received by the Listing Agent, typically 6% of the sale price of the home. Of that 6% the Listing agent will keep 3.3% and give the buyers agent 2.7%.
A Flat Fee Listing Brokerage will not charge the homeowner a percentage for the Listing Side Commission. The Flat Fee Brokerage will charge a FLAT FEE regardless of the sale price of the home. However, at this time we still recommend paying the Buyer Side Commission of our suggested 2.5%.
How much does a “Traditional Agent” charge in Commission?
Traditional agents charge a 6% Listing commission and split that between themselves and the buyers agent. A typical split is 3.3% to the listing agent and 2.7% to the buyers agent. That means the agent will charge you 6% of the sale price of the home when it sells. If you sell a $500,000 home then a 6% commission would be $30,000
Is POP Realty a Discount Brokerage?
Absolutely NOT! We pride ourselves on doing the same services as a traditional agent but only charging a flat fee which will save you money in commissions.
Do your listings go on ALL the national websites and local brokerage websites?
Yes! POP Realty is a member of the local MLS just like all the other brokerage. When we upload your home into the MLS it then automatically gets pulled into every real estate website.
